Centaurea horrida is a species endemic to northern Sardinia (a relict species) and is the rarest and most endangered plant within the MPA, where it is present only in two sites (Spalmatore di Terra and Cala di Levante).

Brassica insularis also known as Sardinian cabbage or Sardinian oilseed rape, this plant, belonging to the Brassicaceae family, is sub-endemic to the central Mediterranean; it lives in inland or coastal areas on calcareous cliffs, from 0 to 1000 m of altitude. It is abundant in the MPA.

Rouya polygama commonly known as Firrastrina bianca, is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Apiaceae family, characteristic of dune environments, adapted to sandy soils. It is a heliophilous plant, i.e. it needs constant sun exposure and blooms between April and May, with an umbrella-like inflorescence and white petals. In Italy it is present only in Sardinia and is a globally threatened species. In the MPA it has been found in Spalmatore di Terra, Cala Gilgolu, Porto Taverna and Porto San Paolo, with few plants in high frequentation environments.
